Craft Stamper Take it Make it Challenge . . . Embossing Powder Resist

Happy Friday sweet friends, I can hardly believe that June has been and gone . . . life is speeding up for sure!
It`s the first Friday of the month, which means it`s time to share my project for
July`s
and
the technique for this month is . . .
Technique: Heat emboss an image/design onto the project, then colour over the top with inks/watercolour paints. The embossing powder will resist the inks etc, and show through. This could form the focal point to your project, or be part of the background. Real stamping needs to be included as well (in case you doodled with an embossing pen for your resist rather than stamping!!)
We have a fantastic prize for this challenge, so be sure and check out all the details on the main blog HERE
Out to the shed I went to grab a few supplies!
{ it took a while to hunt things down . . . it`s been a while }
Unity Stamp Co. Happiness is . . .  by Phyllis Harris
 WOW white embossing powder
 Versamark ink pad
Watercolour paper
Winsor and Newton Watercolours
Paint brush and a jeely jar
Thread, sequins
Maimeri Gel Medium
this is my finished project after . . .
stamping with the versamark inkpad
Sprinkling and heating embossing powder
a quick wash of a few watercolours
splatters
sequins fixed in place
my sewing machine is kaput at the mo, but I have to have some threads, lol
sentiment stamped, embossed, washed and chopped up
and it was complete!
Loved this technique, can`t wait to see what you all create.

Be sure and pop by the main blog to check out the stunning creations the rest of the team have created, just click here.

It`s also time for
 Friends with Flair
over on the
Unity Stamp Co. blog today.
It`s been a while since I have hopped along with you all and I would like to wish all my American friends
a very
Happy 4th of July
Have a lovely weekend to you all!

Thank you for looking.
Till next time
Happy stamping

Craft Stamper Take it Make it Inspiration Friday

Hello sweet friends and a very Happy Friday to you all, it`s been such a very long week but at last the weekend is looming.
Just stopping by with a quick inspiration post for
June
Bleach Blocking
Be sure to head on over to the blog to check out all the details
plus catch an eyeful of stunning projects from the rest of the design team!
I created a few tags using this technique and my  favourite combo of
Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pads in :
Aged Mahogany, Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Shabby Shutters and Fired Brick.
I love the way the water creates that washed/worn effect on the tag.
All that I needed to do was grab one of the tags add some of my favourite Unity Stamps, a touch of doodle doodle doo`s and thread.
It`s a great technique and we would love to see your take on the challenge.
Just CLICK HERE to hop on over and check out all the details, you will not regret it!
Wishing you all a very happy weekend.
Till next time
Big hugs

Craft Stamper Take it Make it Challenge - Bleach Blocking

Hello sweet friends, Friday at last and time to share my project for
Craft Stamper`s
Take it Make it Challenge
for
June
and
the theme is
'Bleach' Blocking

Technique: Simple background technique using just water and Distress ink. Create a background using Distress inks, then 'take off' blocks of the ink using a wet (and clean!) blending tool. As the water will remove the ink, it looks bleached out, hence the name of the technique. This is just a background technique, so don't forget to add in the stamping element of the challenge as well!

Soooo, I threw my nice clean pink fingers into my project, getting messy for the first time in over a month, it was a delight watching my fingers change colour, lol!
A few Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pads
{ I found the deeper tones had more of a result }
some foam pads
Dina Wakely Mixed Media Stamps
One for the Gals
{ my favourite set at the mo }

a little doodle doodle doo stitching with a fine black liner pen
with a few
loose threads for the finishing touch
and it was done!
Loved trying out this technique and now own a batch of bleached tags just waiting to be finished.

Be sure and stop by the challenge blog for all the details and lots more inspiration from the rest of the design team, you won`t want to miss it!!
Just click HERE
Thank you so much for stopping by.

Till next time
Big hugs

Hello sweet friends . . .

How are you all doing?
I hope life is treating you all well!!!
Just popping in to say
 " HI "
and
blow the cobwebs from around my blog, geez it`s been a while . . .
anyone still there . . . .
I had to make some hard decisions lately . . . you know how it is I am sure . . . too many balls to keep in the air
Work, family, health, design teams . . .
 and
 then suddenly
BANG
one drops then another and another
Something had to give so that I could take the time to just
live and breathe again without all the worry and stress . . .
yep I am a worry wart, lol!

One of my decisions is to take time out from a few design teams
the lovely, fabulous amazing girlies from

and

I LOVE and ADORE both teams and hope at some point will have the chance of joining them again in the not too distant future!

This has given me time to just " be"

take time to smell the daisies

 have more time with Alex

get dirty planting and sowing my allotment  which is my slice of heaven here on earth
{ I get sooo excited over the teent tiniest of seeds and the smell of fresh dirt, lol }

To keep my hands messy I am still on the design teams for

and
Scrapbook magazine

My house was
quivering and shaaaaaaaking
the other day as I actually made a project for the first time in what feels like forever!
Here is a peek of my project that will be revealed tomorrow for the
June
Craft Stampers Take it Make It Challenge
It felt strange but good getting inky splattered fingers again.
{ For someone who crafted most days, over a month seems like a lifetime }
I hope you will pop back to see more.

The last project I created was for Craft Stamper and with one thing and another I never got around to sharing it
sooooooo
here is my potato stamping on wood
from the humble tattie beginnings to a pretty flower, stems,  leaves and all.
Well that`s it for me for tonight
except to say a
HUUUUUUUUGE
Thank you to you all for all your support and heart lifting comments
it all means so much to me.
I hope to catch up with you all soon!!
Big hugs

It`s a project that comes from the heart that you could create for someone special, who needs a reminder on how
Brave, Bold and Fierce
they can be regardless of what life throws at them.
If you have the time, it would be great if you popped over to check it out and let me know what you think.
Thank you for looking
