Pan Pastel UK Challenge . . . Frosty

Good morning to you all,
I hope you are having a great weekend so far!
So excited to be sharing my design team project for
and the theme for the next two wks is
" Frosty "
My project started as they always start with the theme in my head and a quick doodle doodle doooo . . .
singing the words to
Frosty the Snowman
{ or in my case . . . making a noise, lol}
I love my scrawly sketch but as I started to doodle on canvas it started to take on a mind of it`s own!
For starters he wanted
{ yes the snowman wasn`t slow at coming forward}
not snowballs, hmmmmm . . .
not lots of little hearts
a BiG HeArT
did I mention how he complained about how cold he was with only
for hands! ! !
Out came the pencil to doodle some woolly gloves.
He also found some words of
Wisdom from a Snowman
and told me the words that he wanted!
Well, he was a very demanding doodle but with some yummy stash . . .
Maimeri Gesso
Distress Rock Candy Dry Glitter
Dylusions Dirty Martini Ink Spray
Unity Stamp Co. Star stamp
. . . I think I managed to appease him and he looks
happeeeee, lol!

I hope you enjoyed stopping by today and would love to hear your thoughts if you have a moment or two.

Be sure and head on by the challenge blog as the rest of the design team ladies have been getting frosty for your inspiration.
Till next time
Big hugs

Craft Stampers Take it Make it Inspiration project . . .

Helloooo and happy Friday to you all!
Time to share a little inspiration with you all for
and the technique for this month is
You can find all the details on the
challenge blog
For today's project I created a page to be used in my upcoming
December Daily . . . yikes time has surely flown past!
I`ve used a
swirly border stamp
American Crafts
to create my little
Primitive Christmas tree
along with the
heart stamps
Unity Stamp Co.
After adding colour to the tree and hearts with Dylusions sprays it was time to transform the background with a mix of
Metallic Pan Pastels
Pearlescent Pan Pastels
to add a touch of glitz and sparkle.
The words quickly typed and then printed of was all that was needed along with a few of my doodle doodle doo`s to finish it off!

You can find my other project for the challenge here.

Remember and hop on by the Challenge blog, the rest of the DT have some more amazing projects to share with you .... you will not want to miss out!
Now it`s over to you to grab some stamps and get ARTY  . . . we can`t wait to visit you all and see what you created!

Craft Stampers Take it Make it Challenge ...Christmas Images using non Christmas stamps!

 Yeah . . . Friday at last!
Time to share my design team project for
and the technique this month is

Time to root around your stamp stash that isn`t a Christmas stamp and turn them into an image that is Christmas themed.
So, for example.... using a circle stamp to make a Christmas Tree shape, turn an oval shaped stamp into a penguin (not strictly Christmas, penguins, but you see where I'm coming from?!) Oval stamps could be Christmas lights, A tree branch stamp could be used as reindeer antlers, a triangle shape could become holly leaves.....etc etc etc..
Stamps you have created yourself are allowed, so carving that perfect oval shape to give you the size you need etc would be a great idea?
If you get really stuck, the easiest things would most likely be circles for a snowman or a square for a present, but I'm betting on some really creative ideas coming out of this theme!
My choice of stamp was the large scribbly circle stamp on the right from the
stitched and tied unmounted rubber stamp set
Paper bag studio
to create
my little red robin red breast.
How did it come about . . .
Just take a look at your stamps and let your imagination wander . . . a little like looking at clouds in the sky and imagine them to be faces, animals, angels, storks, witches, dinosaurs . . .
I do see all these amazing things in the clouds, lol!
{ as a child our mum would play the cloud game to pass away the time and it`s stuck}
Once my chosen stamp had leaped out at me and hollered
all that was needed was to create my background -
first up a quick coat of Gesso all over . .
adding some sparkle with Metallic Pan Pastels . .
time to get that stamp inky using a permanent ink pad . . .
a little smooch of watercolour paints to bring him to life . . .
ending with a little doodle doo and some words printed out from the computer.

What a joy he was to create and will be looking at my stamps as if looking at the clouds!

We can`t wait to see what you all create and remember to check out the rest of the
to be

Pan Pastel UK Challenge . . . Bling it on

Hello and good morning to you all on this 2nd day in November!
So excited to be sharing my design team project for the new challenge over at
and the theme is
" Add some bling "
you can interpret this however you wish!
You have until the 16th November to enter and one lucky person will win a Pan Pastel goodie bag.You do NOT have to use Pan Pastels to enter, just get creative and come join in the fun.
I am not a blingy person but I do love a touch of sparkle and with the new Pearlescent Mediums [ looove ]and Metallic Pans it was time to set to work on a hunk of wood measuring
30 inches by 6 inches
this is my largest doodle doodle doo yet!
A quick coat of Gesso was applied, doodling with a pencil and then time to add colour . . .
. . . once I had my girl in place and the warmth of the wood was still showing through I knew that all I had to do was add a touch of sparkle with a little Metallic and sparkle medium Pan Pastels  . . .
I wanted those to speak for themself without battling against other colours.
I just wish my camera had picked up all the shimmer and sparkle when I took these pictures!
I`m going to sound really mad here but . . .
I am sure she was telling me what to do, lol right down to the words she wanted on her pretty dress from
" Somewhere over the rainbow "
you know I was singing away as I was painting her in or should I say screeching . . . . .
Here`s a picture I took inside in the shade just to let you see more of the colour and details.
That`s it for me today
thank you so much for following, looking and reading my ramblings
and we can`t wait to see what you all create!
Be sure and head over to the challenge blog to see what beautiful creations the rest of the team have created for your inspiration.
Now go get crafty and bring on the bling.
Till next time
Big hugs

Unity Friends with Flair . . . Altered mobile phone case.

Hello and happy Friday to you all!
Just stopping by with a quick altered project to share with
Friends with Flair linky party!
Sooo it was time to update my mobile contract and as my old phone was forever getting covered in paint
{ terrible I know }
the deal was that I had to have a mobile cover this time!
Never liked them or seen one that I like.
Anyhooooo Alex came home the other day with a white one . . . I disliked it on sight, lol!
So when he left for work today, I headed out to my shed to collect a few supplies along with
my latest stamp
She was a daughter by ChristyTomlinson.
I now have my very own personalised mobile cover, lol!
Hope you like it.
Thank you so much for looking and wishing you all a happy creative weekend!
Till next time
Big hugs
