 On hearing the theme I was inspired to create a touch of whimsy that could be used for a childs bedroom or bathroom.
Submarines and fish kept coming to mind, so out with a pencil and paper to doodle doo ...
  " We all live in a yellow submarine "
 by the Beatles inspired my submarine
 oh ... and I had to have fish so humming along to " Under the sea " from The little Mermaid inspired my googley eyed fish { I lost my original doodle BUT here he is all cut out from clay }

Air dry clay was my chosen substrate to use along with DecoArt Paints and mediums . . .
I can see whales, dolphins, star fish making an appearance before too long.
Here`s a quick picture video step by step for you on how they came to life, hope you like it.

Art Workshop ~ Lets go on an Adventure . . .

Sitting here looking back at all the photographs taken on the day of the Art workshop I taught on the 24th January, feeling overwhelmed with happiness seeing all the happy faces with completed artwork at the end!
It was a pleasure to be back at the new venue for Art Workshops
with the view as stunning as ever, a large airy room with a totally relaxed atmosphere
run by
the ever gorgeous
along with Debbie and Leroy.
Thank you so much for having me back guys and for looking after me so well!
 No class would be complete without a group of gorgeous ladies waiting to doodle doodle doo and have happy painty hands, putting up with my twang, huge hugs and giggles galore ...
... thank you for making it a day to remember, love you all!
The start of our adventure in a caravan ... childhood memories came alive . . . stories to be told
{ see that gorgeous hot air balloon card .. we all got one .. something to cherish! }
Base coat of paint followed by yummy Crackle Paint ...
. . . all artists at work . . .
Picasso eat your heart out . . .
. . . sharing . . .
. . . busy . . .
. . . my doodle doo`s mounted on card for inspiration at each table .
 Once the crackle paint was applied to the boards it was time to leave them alone and let it work it`s magic!
 Which meant it was time to grab some watercolour paper, a pencil, white pen, DecoArt Fluid Acrylics and get our doodle doo on . . .
creating minature works of art that could be taken away and popped into frames.
Here`s a peek at some of the gorgeous ladies doodled . . .
A collection of whimsical goodness . . .
I was over the moon to see some of them in frames
. . .
oh my . . .
happy . . . happy lol ... I was clapping my hands with glee!
Time to get back to our caravans after lunch . . .
heat tools at the ready . . .
{ oh, do you see the pictures in the background . . . they belong to the lovely Debbie after our last workshop }
 Backgrounds . . .
Happy painty hands and puffy clouds . . .
 . . . time to add more detail . . .
washing lines . . .
dogs, Suitcases, birdies . . .
. . . adding text, telling a story, memory along the way!
By the end of the day our smiles told a story all by themselves, so very proud of each and everyone.
Thank you, thank you for such an amazing day with you all!
